Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Dentivore is a clinical decision support tool created to help dental and dental hygiene students, new graduates, and clinicians organize complex medical and dental information into a more practical, chairside-friendly format. The platform is designed to support clinical reasoning, improve information accessibility, and help users feel more confident navigating medically complex patient care. These Terms of Service govern your use of Dentivore, which you accept in the manner described in Section 1 below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

You accept these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy when you sign in to Dentivore (/login), and again when you subscribe (/pricing). In both places the acceptance notice is shown next to the button you click, and Stripe’s checkout page asks you to confirm before any payment is taken. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the platform.

Dentivore may update these Terms as the platform evolves. If we make a material change, we will email you and show a notice in the app, and you will be asked to accept the revised Terms the next time you sign in. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current effective date. Minor changes that do not affect your rights — corrections, clarifications, and formatting — take effect when published.

2. Nature of the Platform

Dentivore is a clinical decision support tool.

The content provided throughout the platform is intended to:

  • organize complex medical and dental information
  • support clinical reasoning
  • improve chairside accessibility
  • assist with treatment considerations and risk awareness
  • support educational learning and clinical preparation

Dentivore does NOT provide:

  • medical or dental diagnosis
  • individualized treatment planning or prescriptive patient-specific advice — its calculators (the anesthetic dosage calculator and the periodontal staging & grading tool) are computational aids that apply published formulas and display the source of each formula; the clinician independently verifies every output before relying on it
  • physician consultation
  • emergency medical services
  • legal or licensing advice

Use of this platform does not replace:

  • professional clinical judgment
  • individualized patient assessment
  • consultation with licensed healthcare providers
  • faculty or supervising provider guidance
  • current evidence-based guidelines and standards of care

Every patient situation is unique and must be evaluated individually.

3. Educational Use & Clinical Responsibility

Dentivore is intended for use by:

  • dental and dental hygiene students
  • new graduates
  • dental and healthcare professionals
  • supervised clinical trainees

Users remain fully responsible for:

  • patient care decisions
  • treatment planning
  • medication review
  • documentation
  • obtaining medical consultations when appropriate
  • following applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards

While efforts are made to organize information using evidence-based references and current professional guidelines, Dentivore cannot guarantee that all information will always be fully complete, current, or error-free.

Users should independently verify clinical information when appropriate and always apply professional judgment.

4. Evidence-Based Content & References

Dentivore organizes information using sources such as:

  • evidence-based clinical guidelines
  • professional organization recommendations
  • peer-reviewed literature
  • recognized dental and medical textbooks
  • clinical reference materials

Recommendations and references may evolve over time as guidelines and standards of care are updated.

Content organization reflects educational and clinical-support purposes and should not be interpreted as universal or absolute treatment requirements for every patient scenario.

5. Subscription & Billing

Dentivore offers a single paid plan, the Dentivore Membership:

  • billing may occur monthly or annually depending on the selected plan
  • subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
  • users may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals
  • cancellation is self-serve: select “Manage subscription” on the pricing page, which opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel directly. You may also request cancellation by emailing [email protected]
  • 7-day money-back guarantee: you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Issuing a refund revokes access immediately (not at the end of the billing period). The guarantee is limited to one refund per account. The refund may be reduced by the price of member-only downloads you've claimed: see the Refund Policy for full details.
  • outside the 7-day money-back window, charges are non-refundable except where required by law
  • one-time digital purchases (the Dental Hygiene Student Planner and the Clinical Reference Library) are instant downloads and are non-refundable: all sales are final, except where required by law
  • if you request a membership refund within the 7-day window after already using member-only benefits, the refund is reduced by the value of those benefits (the Planner member-price discount and/or the Clinical Reference Library, if downloaded as a free member perk), down to a floor of $0.00; see the Refund Policy for the full calculation and examples

After a cancellation outside the money-back window, access to premium content may continue through the end of the active billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • misuse the platform
  • copy or redistribute protected content without permission
  • mass-extract or scrape platform data
  • interfere with platform functionality
  • attempt unauthorized access
  • reverse engineer platform systems or recommendation structures
  • use the platform in violation of applicable laws or professional regulations

Dentivore reserves the right to suspend or restrict access for misuse of the platform.

Separately from misuse, Dentivore applies automatic security limits designed to protect accounts from attack. For example, sign-in may be paused temporarily after repeated incorrect passcodes. These limits are automatic and temporary, they are not a judgement about your conduct, and they do not affect your membership or your billing. If one affects you, email [email protected] and we will help.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all Dentivore content, including platform structure, organization systems, educational layouts, graphics, workflows, visual designs, downloadable materials, branding, and written content, is protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.

Referenced clinical guidelines, organization statements, and educational citations remain the property of their respective publishers and organizations and are cited accordingly.

Content may not be reproduced, redistributed, modified, or sold without prior written permission except where permitted by law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Dentivore is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

While substantial effort is made to maintain organized, evidence-informed, and clinically relevant content, Dentivore does not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted availability
  • error-free operation
  • complete accuracy
  • clinical outcomes
  • suitability for every clinical situation

Users should always verify information against current evidence, guidelines, and patient-specific considerations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dentivore and its owners, contributors, affiliates, and associated parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

  • use of the platform
  • reliance on content
  • clinical decisions
  • treatment outcomes
  • interruptions in service
  • omissions or inaccuracies
  • third-party content or references

Use of the platform is entirely at the user's own discretion and responsibility.

10. Third-Party References & External Resources

Dentivore may reference or link to:

  • professional organizations
  • external guidelines
  • educational references
  • third-party resources or websites

These references are provided for educational purposes only. Dentivore is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of external resources.

11. Privacy

Use of Dentivore is also subject to the platform's Privacy Policy and any additional policies published on the website.

12. Communications

Transactional emails — sign-in codes, receipts, and subscription or account notices — are part of the service and are sent to all users. Marketing emails (product updates and announcements) are sent only with your express opt-in, and every one includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can change your email preferences anytime from your profile. Email communications are governed by the Privacy Policy.

13. Contact
